WHO WE HELP

 ADVOCATES

FOR CHILDREN

WITH DISABILITIES

ABOUT

The ACD is a group of parents interested in supporting one another and advocating for the rights of their children. They meet monthly in Entebbe.

Our purpose is to mobilize and empower parents and guardians of children with disabilities to advocate for their children’s right to lead a productive, enriching life and to reach their potential.

Almost 100 people attended a meeting in June 2014.  Drs. Susan O'Rourke & Mary Burke organized a session to identify concerns and needs of parents.  These visiting professors from Carlow University in Pittsburgh are planning future opportunities to support parents.
